CineEurope was held in Barcelona, the biggest professional event in Europe dedicated to film distribution and exhibition.

CineEurope was held in Barcelona for the third time, the biggest professional event in Europe dedicated to film distribution and exhibition. Between June 16th and 19th, the CCIB (International Convention Center of Barcelona) welcomed Europe's largest fair of cinema exhibition, which includes the screening of Hollywood films that will hit theatres soon, as well as conferences and technical seminars.

Accredited participants from around the world had meetings and closed deals with international exhibition majors, and at the same time found out about the most recent productions ready to be released.

Well known faces like Cameron Diaz, Rob Lowe, Jason Segel or Pierre Morel, The Gunman's director, were some of the celebrities seen around, besides senior managers and CEO’s from companies like Disney, Warner Bros., 20th Century Fox, Paramount Pictures or Dreamworks Animation.

The convention will be held in the Catalan capital at least three years more, consolidating the city into the world’s calendar of outstanding events of the film industry. As noted by the President of the International Union of Cinemas (UNIC), which organizes the conference, "We have no intention of moving the exhibition from Barcelona. This city has it all: a fantastic climate, cultural and historical attractions and many other activities. At this time, nothing can compete with Barcelona."
