For the third consecutive year, we have attended the professionals in Catalan Films & TV pavilion, installed in the Palais del Marché du Film.

The Barcelona Film Commission was present at the 71st edition of the Cannes Film Festival. In the framework of the activities organized by the European Film Commissions Network (EUFCN) we have attended the round table "Global Filmmaking in Competition" moderated by Valerio Caruso, director of Cineuropa. Speakers included Truls Kontny, Film Commissioner Norway and president of EUFCN; Carlo Cresto-Dina, Producer of Tempesta Film for the film Lazzaro Felice by Alice Rohrwacher; Ewa Puszczynska, Producer of Opus Films Poland for the Cold War film by Pawel Pawlikowski and Kirsten Niehuus, CEO Medienboard Berlin-Brandenburg.

The importance of co-productions in the era of globalization was discussed, not only because of the necessary economic contribution of the various parties, but also because of the importance of reaching an international audience.

The members of the Board highlighted the role of moderators of the Film Commission (although they usually do not have the money to invest in productions), they have a fundamental task since they are the transmitters of information that is often essential to bridge the various agents involved in a production.
