Summer of 43. Somewhere in the occupied France, no far away from the Spanish border, lives a very famous old sculptor, tired of the life and men madness. Nothing seems to motivate him in his retirement, but the veteran artist will find again the wish of working again and sculpt his last work, thanks to the arrival of a young Spanish woman escaped from a refugee camp that will become his muse.
