The Penguin Lessons is the real story of a disillusioned Englishman who went to work at a school in Argentina in 1976. Waiting for an easy path, he instead discovered a complicated and divided nation, and a class of children practically impossible to teach. However, when he finds a small penguin on a beach bathed in oil, his life takes a turn, and the penguin becomes not only a valuable friend, but also a master of the most important lessons of life, for Tom, for the boys and, indeed, for everyone he meets.
