A 470m2 Modernist space with a central skylight that gives way to natural light, located in the neighborhood El Raval.
The hall located in the heart of Barcelona in the triangle of the Liceu opera, the market La Boqueria” and the theatre “Romea”, follows the pattern of the premises of the Eixample neighborhood (Pla Cerdá), and was built in the old gardens of the church Sant Agustí in 1863, housed the "Barcelonesa de Fundición Society", known as "La Barcelonesa", a factory dedicated to the iron foundry, which later became "La Maquinista Terrestre y Marítima".
The industrial building, once transferred the foundry to "La Maquinista" in Sant Andreu, hosted different activities until it was recovered as an antique restoration workshop in the 90s and currently serves as a space for artistic creation and sometimes hosts special events.
An inspiring, creative and evocative environment to experience unique events or relive the atmosphere of past eras.
