The Valentí Fuster Auditorium is located in the old Cardona Modern Cinema, an emblematic building with 401 seats that presides over the entrance to the municipality. The space was acquired in 2015 by the Cardona City Council with the aim of rehabilitating it and adapting it as an auditorium to hold conferences, congresses and cultural activities and thus promote the economic, sociocultural and tourist revitalization of the municipality. In 1946, the architect Antoni Pons carried out the renovation, adapting part of the building to cinema and theater: the Modern Cinema, which gave it a high social and cultural value until the end of its activity, in 1992.
