The "Casa de Convalescència" is a seventeenth-century building built thanks to the generosity of Pau Ferran. It's located on the left of the Rambla, in the heart of Barcelona's Raval, and it's part of the big heath set composed by the Antic Hospital de la Santa Creu (now the Biblioteca de Catalunya), the seat of IEC (former Casa de la Convalescència of the Hospital) and the College of Surgery (later the School of Medicine and now home to the Royal Academy of Medicine of Catalonia).
