His directorial debut
The actor Mario Casas directs his first film. Mi soledad tiene alas is also co-written by Casas with Deborah François and stars his brother, Óscar Casas, along with newcomers Candela González and Farid Bechara. The casting also includes numerous non-professional actors who stand in front of a camera for the first time with more veteran names, such as Francisco Boira and Marta Bayarri.
Filming began in Barcelona on October 17 and will run for seven weeks in locations in Barcelona and Madrid.
The film, set in the neighborhoods where the director spent his childhood, follows a group of kids who live on the edge and dedicate themselves to robbing jewellery stores until something goes wrong and, of course, it is time to flee. Mi soledad tiene alas is a Nostromo Pictures production with the participation of Netflix.
