Olost is situated in the southern part of the high plateau of Lluçanès, in a little valley with the stream of Olost running through it. The Gavarresa stream and the Lluçanès stream, which are the tributaries, go from the north to south, through the village for its western side. Santa Creu is a tiny village which is part of Olost, 606 metres, at the other part of the La Gavarresa. It’s a rough area, with mountainous vegetation. The forests are populated with oaks, pines and red pines. There are holm oaks in some parts as well.
